Vickie Parker, a 1986 graduate of Indiana State University, was a four time first team selection by the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association and the Rookie of the Year in 1983. Parker won the national individual championship in 1984 playing with a broken bone in her right hand. She was second in 1983 and 1985. Parker set a USBC record for high series after bowling an 802.

Parker received the Alberta Crowe Award in 1982, given to the outstanding youth bowler in the nation. She competed in the 1986 World Cup, finishing sixth.
