1968 Mile Relay Team

The 1968 Indiana State University track and field team were undefeated during the entire track season and were a finalist in the NCAA National Championships. The team was coached by Bill Malloy. The mile relay set a new school record of 3:17.8. The team captured the ICC Conference championship, won at the Mason-Dixon Games held at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky, were the champions of the Central Collegiate Conference (which included all Big 10 and Mid-America Conference schools along with major independents), the Big State Champions in the meet held at Purdue University where their school record was set, and champions of the IU Relays.
