One of the most heralded international Indiana State University graduates, Bruce graduated from ISU in 1982.
Bruce is a four-time (as of February, 1998) Olympic Medalist and was honored by his 1996 Olympic teammates by bearing the USA Flag at the opening ceremonies in Atlanta.
Bruce is universally recognized as the finest super heavyweight wrestler in American history.
He was the 1985 Olympic gold medalist, the 1988 Olympic silver medalist, the 1992 Olympic gold medalist, and the 1996 Olympic bronze medalist.
He holds a record 14 world and Olympic titles and was the 1995 winner of the Sullivan Award as America's finest amateur athlete.
He is three-time world champion in 1986, 1993 and 1995.
Bruce is a seven-time World Cup champion and three-time Pan American Games champion.
At Indiana State Bruce was the NCAA Division I National Champion with a 44-0 records in 1982-83. He posted a 134-12 collegiate mark while at ISU.
He has been the head wrestling coach at Edinboro University for eight years, compiling an overall mark of 70-36 in dual matches, including a 50-14 mark the past four years.
He recently took over the dual chores of acting Director of Athletics.
