Cheryl Pedlow Bridges-Flanagan was an outstanding cross country and track performer for Indiana State in the late 60's.  She helped lead the Indiana State women's track team to a second-place finish in 1969 at the D.G.W.S. Championships held in Texas. She won the mile and the half-mile, and anchored the winning medley relay team at those championships. Incidentally, the ISU coach at that time was fellow inductee Grete Treiber.

Twice a member of America's international cross country team, Cheryl placed in the top ten 13 consecutive years in the A. A. U. National Championships.

From her time at ISU, Cheryl worked as an instructor at the University of New Mexico and Hamline University. In 1976 she was named the Women's Athletic Director at Oklahoma State University and later held a similar post as well as coaching track at Michigan State.
