INDIANAPOLIS  – Indiana State rebounded in the afternoon and are in fourth place after the opening two rounds of the Butler Fall Invitational. The event features eight teams and is being held at the Highlands Golf Club which is a par-70, 5,860-yard layout.
The Sycamores posted rounds of 317 in the morning for a spot in sixth place and then came back with a score of 303 in the afternoon – the second best in the field – to finish with a total of 620 for a spot in fourth place. Lipscomb leads the field with scores of 310 and 293 for a total of 603 to lead the tournament after 36 holes.
Host Butler posted rounds of 301 and 311 for a total of 612 which is in second place while Evansville carded a pair of 309's for a total of 618 which is in third place – two strokes ahead of the Sycamores.
Loyola is in fifth place after rounds of 314 and 313 for a total of 627 while Western Illinois is in sixth place with a score of 629. Chicago State and Marian round out the team scoreboard.
The third and final round is set for Tuesday, October 8 with a shotgun start at 9 am (ET).
Senior
Sierra Hargens posted rounds of 78 and 74 for a total of 152 which is tied for seventh place with several others including sophomore
Lauren Green who's score of 75 and 77 also gives her a total of 152. Freshman
Kristen Hobbs posted an 84 in the morning and came back with a 74 in the afternoon for a total of 158 which is tied for 19
th place.
Kayla Ryan posted an 80 and a 79 for a total of 159 which is tied for 22
nd place.
Alex Jennings scored 86 in the morning and rebounded with a 78 for a total of 164 which is tied for 34
th place.
Madison Branum is tied for 32
nd while playing as an individual with rounds of 84 and 79 for a total of 163. Freshman
Chelsea Morrow is tied for 39
th place with a score of 166 after rounds of 85 and 81.
