KEWADIN, Mich. – Indiana State women's golf wrapped up their first tournament of the season in tied for third place of 13 teams at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational.
 
The Sycamores shot an 898 (+34), the third-best, three-round team score since the start of the 2015-16 season (11 years; 891, +27 at Butler in 2021-22; 897, +33 at MVC Championships in 2015-16). The Sycamores tied Bradley and beat Murray State (900, +36).
 
Louise Standtke led the Sycamores in her Indiana State debut (transfer from Evansville) tying in 11th place. The junior carded a 220 (+4, 70-74-76) with nine total birdies and only one double through the 54 holes. The tournament was highlighted by her opening round, as she shot a new career low of 70 (-2).
 
Over the last two seasons, a score of four-over or better happened only twice, both by Yang Tai and both were scores of four-over.
 
Alana Gilbert was the second-lowest scorer for Indiana State, tying in 27th with a 227 (+11, 76-75-76)
 
Three Sycamores tied for 34th place. Sophia Florek (230, +14, 79-78-73) shot up 21 spots after the opening round with the 73 in round three. Her last two rounds totaled eight birdies (adding one in the first round). Rosalie DiNunzio (76-73-81) also tied with Florek, as well as Keira Brazeau (73-75-82).
 
Freshman Ava Brumagin played in her first collegiate tournament as an individual and tied for 62nd with a 238 (+22, 76-84-78).
