ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Indiana State women's golfer's
Louise Standtke was recognized by the Missouri Valley Conference as one of the MVC's Golfer of the Week honorees on Wednesday afternoon.
Standtke receives the honor for the first time in her Sycamore career following a standout performance that resulted in her tying for third place overall at the Braun Intercollegiate.
The Lejre, Denmark native was key to Indiana State's late run up the leaderboard over the final day of the Braun Intercollegiate held at the Oak Meadow Country Club in Evansville, Ind. The Sycamores' top four scorers in the lineup combined to shoot five-under par from holes 15-18 as Indiana State closed out the Braun Intercollegiate placing second overall in the team standings.
Standtke birdied the 16th and 17th holes and was one of four golfers to shoot even par or better on the tournament's final day as the junior turned in a final-round score of 72 to finish tied for third overall (+4) in the field.
She was two-over at the turn after bogeying both the third and sixth holes, before Standtke rallied back late with back-to-back birdies on the 16th and 17th holes to card a back-nine 34 (-2).
The third-place finish marked her second Top 10 result of the 2026 fall and her highest overall individual finish as a Sycamore to date.
Standtke records Indiana State's first MVC Golfer of the Week honor since
Yang Tai received the recognition on October 2, 2025, following the Butler Fall Invitational.
