NORMAL, Ill. – Indiana State women's golf finished in ninth at the Redbird Invitational, held from September 13-14.
 
The Sycamores shot a 921 (+57, 301-305-315) to place ahead of both Northern Iowa in 12th (954, +90) and Evansville (985, +121).
 
Louise Standtke recorded her sixth top 10 finish in her career, tying in ninth with a 222 (+6, 72-75-75). The junior had two bogeys in her first six holes of the tournament before turning around to finish two-under in the next 12 holes. In round two she opened with three birdies in the first eight holes before making eagle on hole 18. That was her first eagle recorded in collegiate golf. Adding in two birdies from the third round, she finished with seven.
 
Alana Gilbert was the next lowest finisher for Indiana State, tying for 39th place (231, +15, 75-79-77). She led the Sycamores in birdies with eight total. Gilbert helped the Sycamores stay competitive in the tournament ending her second round only one-over in her final 12 holes and by shooting one-under to open the third round.
 
Rosalie DiNunzio (+19, 77-74-84) shot a 235 in the tournament, good for a tie in 48th place. The senior shaved three strokes between the first and second rounds by making a double on second hole of round two then shot even the rest of the round.
 
Keira Brazeau's 237 (+21, 77-77-83) placed her tied for 52nd, and she was followed by Ava Brumagin who played as an individual with a 241 (+25, 79-84-78). The freshman Brumagin closed out her tournament by shooting only one-over in her last 14 holes in round three.
