TAMPA, Fla. - Indiana State golf stands T-11th of 16 teams in its opening round of the spring at the Butler Don Benbow Spring Invitational in Tampa. ISU finished Monday +36 as a team.
Kristin Hobbs holds a top-five spot for the Sycamores, shooting 76 (+4) for a four-way tie for fifth place. She bridied the opening hole and shot par in the next four to lead the Sycamores. Hobbs parred 11 holes and finished with two birdies. Briana Lemaire finished +8 (80) in the round with six pars and three birdies.
Iyoun Chew was the third scorer for Indiana State, coming in with a score of 83 (+11) to tie for 56th place.
Yang Tai and
Eliza Baker are both in a six-way tie for 72nd, coming in with a round of 85 (+13). Tai finished with four pars and two birdies, while Baker shot par nine times.Â
