TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Indiana State women's golf head coach
Greg Towne announced Tuesday (Mar. 1) that he has signed Yang Tai to a national letter of intent for this upcoming fall. Tai joins both Eliza Baker (Adelaide, South Australia/Sacred Heart Senior School) and Briana LeMaire (Cedar Park, Texas/Cedar Park HS) who signed with the Sycamores in December.
Yang joins the Sycamores after attending IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida which is one of the top training destinations in the nation for women's golf.
Towne on Tai: "I believe that Yang will be a great compliment to our already strong freshmen signing class and I'm very thankful to Coach Pyle at IMG Academy for his help in getting her to Terre Haute," Towne said. "She has a very powerful swing and a strong desire to improve her game. I am confident she will be a successful student-athlete here at Indiana State."
The Sycamores open the spring portion of their schedule on March 6-8 when they travel to Florida to take part in the Benbow Invite hosted by Butler.
