LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Indiana State Women's Swimming and Diving team dominated on Saturday morning at the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America's Open Water Meet placing fifth overall to open the 2019-20 season.
Surging Sycamores
Sarah Moreau lead the Sycamores taking 10
th overall with a time of 1:06:10.6 scoring 10 points for Indiana State.
Vivian Kritikou wasn't too far behind Moreau taking 15
th overall.
Molly Fogarty,
Cierra Campbell, and
Elisabeth Peskin round out the Trees taking 26
th, 27
th, and 28
th overall.
Indiana State scored 51 points as a team ranking them fifth behind Rice University, Kansas, Texas A&M, and Toledo.
Coach Finnesand's Remarks
We caught up with Assistant Coach
Nikki Finnesand following Saturday's meet. "I am very impressed with how our women performed today. As a team, this was our first open water meet and the team showed some grit competing with such a high level of competition. It was a great way to start out the year." Finnesand said.
