OCALA, Fla. – Ali Pearson continues to leave her mark in the Indiana State record books in the 100-yard breaststroke event as the graduate student once again turned in two of the faster times in program history in the event on her way to highlighting the Sycamores' on the second day of the CSCAA National Invitational Championship on Friday night.
Pearson went 1:01.92 in the morning's prelims to advance to the A-Finals. She then cut .24 seconds off her time to finish in 1:01.68 in the night's finals to place seventh overall in the field. Pearson's two swims marked the 13th and 7th-fastest times in the event in Indiana State program history, giving her 19 of the 20 fastest times overall since coming to campus.
Friday Evening Recap
Indiana State opened the night's events with the 200-yard Medley Relay as
Anna Asplund,
Ali Pearson,
Raine Boles, and
Kalli Agapios took the water in the event. The Sycamores placed 21st overall in 1:42.70 to open the night.
Ali Pearson cut .24 off her time in the 100-yard Breast A-Finals on her way to finishing seventh overall in the field with a time of 1:01.68. She currently holds the 19 fastest times in program history in the 100-yard Breaststroke event following Friday's competition.
Indiana State closed out the night with the 800-yard Freestyle Relay as
Maria Saldana Riebeling,
Erin Cummins,
Gemma Dilks, and
Claire Parsons took on the field. The Sycamores touched the wall in 7:26.20, highlighted by Riebeling's time of 1:50.04 in the leadoff leg, to place 20th overall in the field.

Friday Morning Recap
Maria Saldana Riebeling and
Gemma Dilks both took on the field in the opening 400-yard IM as the sophomore duo took on the prelims. Riebeling finished 29th overall in 4:26.02, while Dilks finished in 4:27.10 to place 33rd overall.
Addison Johnson was the first Sycamore to the wall in the 100-yard Fly event as the freshman touched in 55.74 to place 35th in the field.
Raine Boles was five spots back in 40th with a time of 55.95.
Claire Parsons and
Erin Cummins both competed in the morning's 200-yard Freestyle prelims on Friday morning. Parsons placed 37th overall in 1:51.37, while Cummins finished 45th in 1:52.06.
Ali Pearson heads back to the evening's finals on Friday night as the graduate student placed inside the Top 10 to advance to the A-Finals. Pearson posted a 1:01.92 to place seventh overall in the field.
