WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Indiana State senior Thilda Staubo paced the Sycamores with a 21st place finish after the third and final round of the William & Mary Intercollegiate. The event was held at the Kingsmill Resort, River Course which is a par-72. 6,025-yard layout. 

The Sycamores posted a final round team score of 334 which followed rounds of 334 and 314 on Monday for a total of 982 to finish in 10th place. The Sycamores were two shots ahead of MVC rival Loyola who was in 11th place with rounds of 327, 341 and 316 for a total of 984. Seton Hall won the event with rounds of 301, 313 and 304 for a total of 918. 

Staubo followed up rounds of 79 and 80 with a round of 79 on Tuesday for a total of 238 which tied for 21st place. Sierra Hargens posted rounds of 81 and 75 on Monday and followed that up with an 86 on Tuesday for a total of 242 which is tied for 29th. Kayla Ryan followed up yesterday's rounds of 87 and 77 with a round of 83 on Tuesday for a total of 247 which was tied for 36th place.

Sophie Benetti tallied rounds of 87 and 82 on Monday and came back with an 86 on Tuesday for a total of 255 which was tied for 52nd. Lauren Green posted rounds of 91 and 88 on Monday and tallied a score of 93 during the final round for a total of 272 which was 74th. Playing as an individual, Abigail Irwin continued her week long improvement with rounds of 97 and 93 on Monday and then an 86 on Tuesday. Her total of 276 finished in 77th place.

Mia Kness of Seton Hall posted rounds of 71, 74 and 73 for a total of 218 which won her the individual title.

Indiana State returns to action on Sunday and Monday, March 24-25 when they travel to Carbondale, Ill., for the Saluki Invitational.
