TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State Swimming and Diving is set to host Big East opponent Xavier at the Vigo County Aquatic Center on Friday at 6pm and travel to Normal, Ill on Saturday starting at 1pm.
 
Series History
Indiana State has met Xavier three times in school history and defeated them in the 2018-19 season, 110-95. The Sycamores have also met Illinois State three times in school history and the Redbirds hold a 2-1 series lead over the blue and white.
 
Coach Christensen's Corner
"This will be a challenging weekend for us. Both Xavier and Illinois State are good teams and we'll have to be at our best to win the meets" head coach Josh Christensen said. "The back-to-back meets will be good preparation for both the Purdue Invite and Conference, where we'll have to swim fast, recover, and come back ready the next day. I'm looking forward to seeing the team rise to the occasion and make the most of these opportunities."

• The Sycamores enter Saturday's contest with a record of 2-3 coming off two conference wins last weekend.
• The Trees claimed 12 individual victories and 4 of them had multiple wins last weekend.
• Greece-native Anna Maria Nasiou claimed two victories in the 100 with a time of 1:08.10 and the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:26.26.
• Senior Kendall Hansen took first place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.89 and the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:04.90.
• Freshman Kaimi Matsumoto earned two individual wins in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:55.54 and the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.62.
• Lastly, Freshman Margaret Gray also claimed two victories in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:06.78 while also winning the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.65.
• Events against Xavier are slated to begin at 6 p.m. on Friday Nov. 8 inside the Vigo County Aquatic Center. Saturday Nov. 9 events are slated to begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday inside the Horton Pool in Normal, Illinois.
