Sycamores announce 2026-27 swimming and diving schedule

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State swimming & diving head coach Josh Christensen announced the 2026-27 schedule on Monday afternoon.
 
The two-time defending Missouri Valley Conference champions will host five meets at the Vigo County Aquatics Center, while also taking on a tough nonconference slate including meets featuring Missouri, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Florida Gulf Coast, Missouri State, Illinois, as well as trips to the Hawkeye Invite hosted by Iowa and the annual Tim Welsh Invite hosted by Notre Dame.
 
The Sycamores open the fall portion of the schedule with their annual Intrasquad meet on September 25 at the Aquatic Center in their first action of the season. Indiana State follows up with a meet on October 9 against MVC foe Illinois State that will also serve as the Sycamores' Alumni Weekend as a part of the program's Homecoming festivities.
 
Indiana State opens the road schedule in Columbia, Mo. for a double dual meet against Missouri and Missouri State on October 16-17, before the Sycamore divers split off to go to the Dan Ross Invite held in West Lafayette, Ind. on October 24.
 
The Sycamores are back home for back-to-back weekends hosting Northern Kentucky (Oct. 31) in a dual meet and UIC and Evansville (Nov. 6) in a double dual meet at the Vigo County Aquatic Center.
 
Indiana State's first big trip of the season comes over November 17-20 as the Sycamores travel to Iowa City, Iowa for the Hawkeye Invite hosted by the University of Iowa. The Sycamores remain on the road the rest of the calendar year heading to Illinois (Dec. 5), before closing out December in Miami, Fla. with a meet against FIU, Marshall, and Barry on December 16.
 
The Sycamores open the spring competition schedule over January 8-9 as Indiana State heads to Nashville, Tenn. to take on Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and Florida Gulf Coast. Indiana State remains on the road two weeks later as they head to South Bend, Ind. for the annual Tim Welsh Invite hosted by Notre Dame.
 
Indiana State will hold its 2026-27 Senior Day on January 30 as the Sycamores host Ball State and Southern Illinois at the Aquatic Center.
 
The diving team heads to Chicago, Ill. for the UIC Diving Invite on February 6 for the final tune-up prior to the start of the conference championships.
 
Indiana State will look to defend the conference title at the 2027 Missouri Valley Conference at the Deaconess Aquatic Center in Evansville, Ind. held over February 17-20.
 
The NCAA Diving Zone C Qualifiers will be held over March 8-10 in West Lafayette, Ind., while the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) National Invitational Championship will be held in Ocala, Fla. over March 11-13. The NCAA Championships will be held in Austin, Texas over March 17-20.
