Grace Cummings and
Maria Saldana Riebeling were both honored as CSCAA Scholar All-Americans for their efforts both in the pool and in the classroom for the 2025-26 season as recognized by the organization on Thursday morning.
Cummings received First Team honors following a standout season in the pool that featured becoming the first Indiana State swimmer in program history to earn a berth at the NCAA Championships. The Kent, England native set Missouri Valley and Indiana State records in the 1650-yard Freestyle event with a time of 16:08.21 on her way to earning CSCAA All-American Honorable Mention honors. She is currently majoring in political science at Indiana State.
Riebeling received Second Team honors for the first time in her career as the Vancouver, Canada native earned First Team All-MVC honors in the 1650-yard Freestyle, while also earning CSCAA A-Finalist recognition in the 500 Freestyle and 1650-yard Freestyle events. She is currently majoring in criminology at Indiana State.
To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections, must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met an NIC "A" time standard in Division I or an NCAA "B" qualifying standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet for Division II, Division III, and NAIA.
Student-athletes recognized on the 2026 CSCAA Individual Scholar All-America Team represented a wide range of academic disciplines, with STEM and health science majors accounting for the largest share of honorees, followed closely by business-related fields.
