ST. LOUIS - For the second time during the 2018-19 season, freshman Elle Christie has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Diver of the Week, the Valley announced Tuesday afternoon.
 
Christie continued to excel in the diving end of the pool for Indiana State at the Magnus Cup. In the one-meter dive Christie claimed the Magnus Cup title, scoring 257.50 in the preliminary round and then 246.10 in finals to win the event. Then on Saturday she earned a top-three finish in the three-meter dive, taking third place with a score of 256.35 during finals.
 
The freshman was also honored on Oct. 9 for her school-record performances in both dives against Illinois-Chicago.
 
Indiana State is back in action on Dec. 1 when they host the Indiana State Relays.
