INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. –
Claire Parsons took on the 800-meter field at the 2025 Toyota National Championships on Tuesday afternoon at the IU Natatorium as the rising junior made her national debut in the field.
The Terre Haute, Ind. native finished 37th overall in the field with a time of 9:11.63 to round out the field in the event. Parsons posted a 4:31.93 split at the 400-meter mark in the event.
Katie Ledecky topped the field overall with a championship record mark of 8:05.76 to claim the event win.
About the 2025 USA Swimming Toyota National Championships
Olympians, USA Swimming National Team Members, and the next generation of elite swimmers will be competing for coveted spots on Team USA for three 2025 international competitions. In partnership with Center Grove Aquatic Club, the Indiana University Natatorium – Indianapolis is honored to be the host of USA Swimming's most elite 2025 competition – the 2025 Toyota National Championships. Five days of exciting racing will begin on Tuesday, June 3, and conclude on Saturday, June 7, with prelims beginning each day at 10 a.m. and finals at 7 p.m.
