OCALA, Fla. – Raine Boles set a new Indiana State record in the 50-yard Fly, while
Maria Saldana Riebeling competed in the 500-yard Freestyle A-Finals to highlight the Sycamores' efforts on the first day at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships held at the FAST Center.
Boles set a new Sycamore record of 24.67 in the 50-yard Fly in the morning prelims session to break the previous mark of 24.76 set by Marni Gray at the 2023 CSCAA NIC. Boles nearly matched her time in the finals with a mark of 24.68 to secure the top two times in Indiana State program history in the event.
Riebeling set a new personal record in the 500-yard Freestyle in the A-Finals on Thursday night as the sophomore touched the wall in 4:51.22. It topped her previous career best and was the 16th-fastest swim in program history in the event to highlight the lone Sycamore in the A-Finals on the opening day of the meet.

Indiana State opened the evening session with the 200-yard Freestyle Relay with the Sycamores placing 15th overall in the field. The team of

Kalli Agapios touched the wall in 1:33.42.
Maria Saldana Riebeling set a new personal record in the 500-yard Freestyle as the sophomore went out in 4:51.22 to place 10th overall in the evening's A-Finals.
Claire Parsons placed 10th in the B-Finals to round out the group after finishing in 4:57.97.
Raine Boles nearly matched her Indiana State record-setting pace in the 50-yard Fly on Thursday evening as the senior went out in 24.68. She finished .01off her morning pace to place fourth in the B-Finals and 14th overall in the field.
Ali Pearson shaved six-hundredths of a second off her preliminary time to place 13th overall in the field in the 50-yard Breaststroke. Pearson touched the wall in 28.66 to pace third in the B-Finals.

Thursday Morning Recap
Maria Saldana Riebeling and
Claire Parsons both advanced out of the 500-yard Freestyle preliminaries on Thursday morning to open up the CSCAA NIC this week in Ocala, Fla. Riebeling nearly matched her personal-best with a time of 4:51.90 to place 10th overall in the field and advance to the A-Finals, while
Claire Parsons posted a 4:55.27 to place 19th and advanced to the B-Finals.
Erin Cummins took on the field finishing 30th overall in 4:58.24.
Raine Boles set Indiana State's first record of the week as the senior posted a 24.67 to break the previous mark set by Marni Gray (24.76) back in 2023 at the CSCAA NIC. Boles' time put her 11th overall in the field to advance to the evening's B-Finals.
Ali Pearson made it four Sycamores to advance to the evening's finals as the graduate student posted a time of 28.72 to place 14th overall in the field and qualified for the B-Finals.
