OCALA, Fla. – Indiana State wrapped up the final day of the CSCAA NIC with more standout performances inside the pool as the Sycamores finished ninth overall in the team standings to close out the three-day session at the Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training center.
 
The Sycamores' ninth-place team finish is the best finish in program history as Indiana State accumulated 334 points. It surpassed last season's 11th-place finish as the Sycamores' 11 swimmers took on the field throughout the week.
 
"This weekend was a great way to wrap up a historic season for our program," head coach Josh Christensen said. "The group we had here raced tough, had some really nice highlights, and for our returners, I think we learned some things we can take into next season."
 
Overall, 14 Indiana State athletes finished inside the Top 20 advancing to either A-Final or B-Finals over the three days. The Sycamores were highlighted by top five finishes on Saturday evening by Erin Cummins (1000 Free), Claire Parsons (1650 Free), and the 400-yard Freestyle Relay. Gemma Dilks added a school record in the 200-yard Fly in the morning session to advance to her first A-Finals of the weekend.
 
Saturday Evening Finals
Erin Cummins recorded the highest finish by an Indiana State swimmer in a CSCAA NIC individual event, while Claire Parsons and the 400-yard Freestyle Relay team also added top five finishes to cap the final day of the 2025 CSCAA NIC.
 
Cummins was third overall through the first 1000 yards of the 1650-yard Freestyle as the sophomore clocked a time of 9:58.25 to finish on the podium in the event. Parsons was sixth in 10:00.60, while Maria Saldana Riebeling (10:11.87) finished 19th as all three Indiana State athletes in the event scored.
 
Parsons kept the pace going through the 1650-yard Freestyle as the sophomore finished fifth overall in the mile-event with a time of 16:33.14. Riebeling was 17th overall in 16:52.11, while Cummins finished 30th in the field in 17:20.24.
 
Kelley continued competition in the 100-yard IM as the sophomore finished 20th overall in the field after finishing in the B-Finals.
 
Chloe Farro took on the B-Finals group in the 100-yard Freestyle finishing 18th overall in the field in 50.40 after shaving .10 off her prelims time.
 
Pearson competed in her third Finals of the week as the senior took on the field in the 200-yard Breaststroke. She finished 12th in the field in 2:14.26.
 
Dilks nearly matched her record pace in the 200-yard Fly as the freshman took on the A-Finals group. She placed seventh in the field with a time of 2:14.26.
 
Indiana State wrapped up the three-day event with the 400-yard Freestyle Relay. The quartet of Farro, Kelley, Cummins, and Alexa Szadorski finished fifth overall with a time of 3:20.47.

Saturday Morning Prelims
Four Sycamores advanced to the evening's finals highlighted by Gemma Dilks' school-record and A-Final qualifying time in the 200-yard Fly as Indiana State opened up the final day of the CSCAA NIC in Ocala, Fla.
 
Dilks set a new Indiana State mark in the 200-yard Fly as the freshman touched the wall in 2:00.13 to place seventh overall in the field and advance to her first A-Final of the week. Kaleigh Kelley (100 IM), Chloe Farro (100 Free), and Ali Pearson (200 Breast) all finished inside the Top 20 in their events to advance to the evening's B-Finals.
 
Kelley was first in the water for Indiana State in the morning as the sophomore placed 19th overall in the field with a time of 56.84 in the 100-yard IM.
 
Sahara Visscher was the lone Sycamore in competition in the 200-yard Backstroke finishing 44th with a time of 2:04.59.
 
Farro advanced to the B-Finals for the second time on the week as the senior touched the wall in 50.50 in the 100-yard Freestyle to place 14th in the field. Alexa Szadorski was 35th in the event in 51.23.
 
Pearson made it 3-for-3 in event finals as the senior advanced to the B-Finals in the 200-yard Breaststroke. Pearson's time of 2:16.06 put her 15th overall in the field, while Alexandria Cotter placed 43rd in 2:19.86.
 
Dilks' time was tops among the Sycamores in the 200-yard Fly to advance to the A-Finals. Raine Boles finished 33rd overall with a time of 2:04.56.
