EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Jecza Lopez and
Lucia McDougall took on the Evansville diving squad this weekend at the Deaconess Aquatic Center.
Lopez took 1M Diving win with a six-dive score of 265.43 to win the event, while McDougall was the top Sycamore in the 3M Diving placing second overall in the field with a score of 204.53.
The Sycamore duo competed in the additional meet this weekend as Indiana State continues preparations for the upcoming Missouri Valley Conference Championships at the end of the month.
Lopez was the top finisher overall in the 1M Diving with her six-dive score marking the 16th-highest score in program history. McDougall was third overall with her 218.33 marking a new career-high score for the freshman.
McDougall followed up with a 204.53 to place second overall in the field in the 3M event. Lopez took a step back finishing with a 202.65 to place third overall.
