TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's basketball's
Saige Stahl was named this week's GoGo Squeez ISU Student-Athlete of the Week as announced by the athletic department on Monday afternoon.
Stahl led the women's basketball team to a 1-1 mark on the week with a pair of double-doubles against Wright State and Austin Peay in helping secure the Sycamores' first win of the 2024-25 season.
The Seymour, Ind. native opened the week on Tuesday night at Wright State by putting together a 14-point, 12-rebound performance in the Sycamores' 68-51 win over the Raiders. Stahl was effective in the win over WSU posting a 6-for-7 shooting line including 2-for-3 from the free throw line, while adding an assist and a blocked shot in recording Indiana State's first double-double of the season.
She followed up on Friday night posting a season-high 29 minutes off the bench scoring 10 points and pulling down a career-high 15 rebounds in the loss to the Governors. Stahl posted six offensive rebounds and nine defensive boards for the Sycamores, while adding a steal from the floor in the contest.
The GoGo Squeez ISU Student-Athlete of the Week will be announced every Monday afternoon throughout the 2024-25 athletic season.
