TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's swimming & diving's Kaleigh Kelley was named this week's Hannig Construction Indiana State Student-Athlete of the Week as announced by the athletic department on Monday afternoon.

Kaleigh Kelley went undefeated in dual meet action this past weekend against Illinois State as the senior swimmer topped the field in the 50-yard Freestyle and 100-yard Fly, while also swimming the third leg in the Sycamores' winning 200-yard Medley Relay team.

Kelley's time of 23.55 in the 50-yard Freestyle is the fastest time in the Valley so far this season by nearly half a second, while her 100-yard Fly time of 55.89 is nearly .3 seconds ahead of her closest competitor. The 200-yard Medley Relay team time was also the fastest in the Valley to date this season.

The Mount Vernon, Ind. native continues to build her way back from an injury that sidelined her for a majority of the 2025-26 season, but was still able to All-Conference honors at last year's MVC Championships meet.

The Hannig Construction Indiana State Student-Athlete of the Week will be announced every week throughout the 2026-27 athletic season.
