DES MOINES, Iowa – Indiana State won a pair of relay titles at the 113th Drake Relays while also seeing six top-10 program marks set at America's Athletic Classic, capping a strong weekend for the Sycamore contingent at Drake Stadium.
The Sycamore quartet of
Luigi Rivas,
Quincy Armstrong,
Daryl Black and
Collin Forrest teamed up to win the shuttle hurdle relay, an event Indiana State has found plenty of success in at the Drake Relays over the years, while
Alysha Bradford,
Riley Tuerff,
Sierra Long and
Iyanla Hunter teamed up to run ISU's fastest 4x400m relay of the season to take top spot on the Blue Oval.
In addition to the pair of relay wins, six top-10 program marks were set by the Blue and White at the Drake Relays.
Erica Barker, the men's 4x100m, 4x1600m and distance medley relay teams, and the women's 4x200m and shuttle hurdle relay teams all moved up in the Indiana State record books over the course of the weekend.

Sprints/Hurdles
Both of Indiana State's wins on the Blue Oval came from the sprints and hurdler group in the form of a pair of relay wins.
Luigi Rivas,
Quincy Armstrong,
Daryl Black and
Collin Forrest continued the Sycamores' strong tradition in the men's shuttle hurdle relay, winning the event with a time of 58.60. It was the Sycamores' third shuttle hurdle relay title in the last four Drake Relays (2019, 2021, 2023), with Black featuring on all three of those teams. Rivas also ran a season-best 110m hurdles time of 14.29 to place fifth in the event.
ISU's women's 4x400m relay team of
Alysha Bradford,
Riley Tuerff,
Sierra Long and
Iyanla Hunter also won at the Drake Relays, running a season-best time of 3:47.59 on the Blue Oval. Tuerff was also a part of the women's shuttle hurdle relay team, along with
Ryann Porter,
Taylor Jackson and
Collette Wolfe, that placed second with a time of 58.01, the fourth-best time in program history.
Jackson, Bradford and Hunter were all a part of the Sycamores' team for the 4x200m relay, with
Michelle McDonald running the other leg for the Trees. The quartet combined to run the ninth-best time in program history at 1:40.55.
Indiana State's men's 4x100m relay team of
JaVaughn Moore,
Daunte Majors,
Isiah Thomas and
Noah Malone also ran a season-best time for the Trees, with the Sycamore quartet clocking a time of 39.77, one-hundredth of a second off the program record. Moore and Malone also competed in the finals of the 100m and placed sixth and seventh, respectively.
Majors and Thomas paired with
Cameron Stevens and
Napoleon Hernandez to run the sprint medley relay in a time of 3:30.71, while Stevens,
Wyatt Wyman,
Mitchell Cline and Hernandez ran the 4x400m relay in 3:20.06.
Distance
The Indiana State distance crew had a stellar showing on the Blue Oval, setting three top-10 program marks at America's Athletic Classic.
Erica Barker kicked off the meet for the Trees with a career-best 10,000m time of 35:56.60, knocking more than a minute off her previous PR and moving up to third in program history in the event.
Ethan Breen and
Jackson Krieg featured prominently for the Sycamores in a pair of top-10 relay marks. The duo paired with
Cameron Stevens and
Wyatt Wyman to run the second-fastest distance medley relay in program history at 9:51.00, while Breen and Krieg teamed with
Cael Light and
Jason Dworak to run the second-fastest 4x1600m relay at 16:45.61. In addition to the top program mark, the DMR team was third overall in the field and even led for large stretches of the race.
Jumps
Indiana State's high jumpers competed at the Drake Relays, with
Kevin Krutsch posting the top result for the Blue and White. Krutsch cleared a season-best 2.10m (6-10.75) for the Sycamores to place eighth in the invitational field. In the women's high jump,
Eva Grace Quinlan cleared 1.58m (5-02.25).
Ryann Porter also competed for the Trees in the invitational section of the women's triple jump, coming in sixth with a top mark of 12.41m (40-08.75).
Throws
Indiana State had a pair of throwers pick up top-three finishes in a deep field at the drake Relays.
Wyatt Puff finished third in the shot put at 17.89m (58-07.25), his second-best mark of the season, while also finishing sixth in the invitational section of the discus (54.12m/177-07).
Brett Norton had another strong showing in the shot put for the Blue and White, finishing sixth with a top mark of 17.69m (57-10.50).
Noah Bolt also earned a top-three finish on the weekend, placing third in the open section of the discus with a top mark of 52.75m (173-01). Bolt was also the top Sycamore in the hammer throw with a ninth-place finish after a top mark of 57.87m (189-10).
Niesha Anderson had a strong showing in the shot put on the women's side with a career-best mark of 14.71m (48-03.25) to place fourth, while
Hannah Redlin earned top-10 finishes in a pair of events for the Trees. Redlin placed sixth in the discus (47.83m/156-11) and seventh in the shot put (14.38m/47-02.25). Anderson also had the top mark for the Sycamores in the hammer throw at 46.53m (152-08).
Justin Miller was the lone Sycamore to compete in the javelin, placing 10th with a top throw of 48.52m (159-02).
