PROSPECT, Ky. - The Indiana State Sycamores toughed out frost delays and bitter wind chills Monday and Tuesday as they came away from the Nevel Meade Intercollegiate hosted by Cleveland State with a ninth-place finish.

The frigid weather altered the originally scheduled 54-hole event, and frost delays pushed back start times each day with teams playing only 36 holes across the two days. The Sycamores shot a 324 in the final round for a two-round total of 642.

Kristen Hobbs shaved four strokes off her first round score to shoot a 77 in the final round, bumping her up 12 spots to tie for 22nd with a two-round score of 158.

Iyoun Chew shot a second round 82 as an individual to finish tied for 19th with a two-round total of 157. She was the second-highest individual finisher in the tournament.

Chelsea Morrow finished tied for 29th with a two-round score of 160, and
Briana LeMaire was right behind with a two-round score of 161.
Molly Lee (163) and
Yang Tai (174) rounded out the Sycamore lineup.

Eliza Baker and
Grace Welty also played as individuals with final scores of 161 and 168, respectively.

The Sycamores host their lone tournament of the season as they play their last regular season match at Country Club of Terre Haute April 2-3. Teams will play 18 holes each day.
