TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Shomari Rogers-Walton cracked the top five in program history in the indoor triple jump Saturday afternoon as Indiana State won both the men's and women's team titles at the Blue-White Classic.
Rogers-Walton's short-approach jump of 15.56m (51-00.75) ranked fourth in program history and was also the best jump of his indoor career. Also winning events for the Blue and White were

Ryann Porter (triple jump),
Wyatt Puff (shot put),
Jhivon Wilson (200m) and
Kyra Young (mile).
As a team, Indiana State finished with 132 points on the men's side, 26 more than the second-place team, UIndy. Indiana State's women scored 138 points at the meet, 51 more than Lindenwood, who finished in second.

Sprints/Hurdles
Two of Indiana State's eight event wins at the Blue-White Classic came from the sprints and hurdles group, including
Kamille Gaskin-Griffith's 60m hurdles win. Gaskin-Griffith (8.82) and
Riley Tuerff (8.89) went 1-2 in the event, with
Taylor Jackson (9.09) also placing in the top five. Tuerff also earned a top-five finish in the 200m with a time of 25.99.
Quincy Armstrong added a podium finish in the men's 60m hurdles, placing third with a time of 8.39.
Jhivon Wilson was the other winner for Indiana State, as his 200m time of 22.84 was enough for him to win the event. Wilson also placed fourth in the 60m with a time of 6.91, while
Daunte Majors added a third-place finish in the 60m at 6.88.
Brendan Rogers placed third in the 200m at 23.28.
In the women's 60m,
Brooklynn Williams led the way with a time of 7.93 to place fourth, while Emily Lowe placed fourth in the 400m with a time of 1:02.65. Lowe, Jackson,
Kaylen Gustafson and
Ayana Parchman teamed up to run the 4x400m relay in a time of 4:17.36.
Distance
A sweep of the mile was the highlight of the day for the Indiana State distance crew at the Blue-White Classic, with
Layton Hall (4:22.33) and
Kyra Young (5:20.93) winning on the men's and women's side, respectively. The Trees also got top-five finishes in the 3000m from
Cannen Wolf (second, 9:11.82) on the men's side and
Cami Farmer (fourth, 11:19.84) on the women's side.
Indiana State also had a pair of entries in the men's 800m who finished inside the top five.
Nicholas Burns led the way with a time of 1:56.82 to place second, while Everson Fayman ran a time of 1:57.51 to finish fourth.
Jumps/Pole Vault
Indiana State had banner day in the jumps and pole vault, with
Shomari Rogers-Walton's triple jump performance being the spectacle of the day. Rogers-Walton, using a short approach, had a top mark of 15.56m (51-00.75), winning the event and moving up to fourth in program history. He was joined in the top five in the event by
Emmanuel Odubanjo, who had a top mark of 13.84m (45-05.00). In the women's triple jump, it was business as usual for
Ryann Porter, who used a top mark of 12.14m (39-10.00) to take home the event win.
Dominique Wood joined her in the top five with a best mark of 11.02m (36-02.00).
Faith Frye added a win in the long jump for the Blue and White, as the Sycamores went 1-2 in the event. Frye had a top mark of 5.58m (18-03.75), with
Claire Pittman coming right behind her in second with a top mark of 5.45m (17-10.75). Wood also added a top-five finish with a best mark of 5.19m (17-00.50) to finish fifth. On the men's side,
Frankie Young III (7.03m/23-00.75) and
Mitch Conard (6.99m/22-11.25) placed second and third, respectively, in the long jump.
Indiana State also added podium finishes in the men's and women's pole vault.
Selene Weaver (3.91m/12-10.00) placed second on the women's side, with
Hannah Hendrick (third, 3.66m/12-00.00),
Abigail Ballengee (fourth, 3.51m/11-06.25) and
Maddie Welsh (fifth, 3.51m/11-06.25) giving the Sycamores four of the top five in the event. On the men's side,
Daniel O'Laughlin placed second after clearing 4.51m (14-09.50).
Gaskin-Griffith was the lone Sycamore in the high jump and placed fifth after clearing 1.42m (4-07.75).
Throws
Despite Saturday being a light meet in terms of workload for the Sycamore throwers, Indiana State still showed out well.
Wyatt Puff took home the shot put titles in his first meet since mid-January, using a top mark of 17.22m (56-06.00) to win the event.
Ryan Golliher also put together a pair of top-five performances for the Blue and White, placing third in the weight throw with a top mark of 17.02m (55-10.25) and fifth in the shot put with a top mark of 15.16m (49-09.00).
