Indiana State hosts Southern Indiana after USI defeated the Sycamores in overtime in Evansville last year, 88-85. This is the second time the two teams will meet.
About USI
USI is in their 4th season with Stan Gouard at the helm. Coach Gouard is a former Sycamore assistant coach from 2005-2008. USI finished last season 16-17 and 9-9 in the OVC. They were beat out in the first round of the OVC tournament by SIU-Edwardsville 68-54. Two Screaming Eagles are averaging more than 10.0 PPG this season: Jeremiah Hernandez (12.9) and AJ Smith (10.8). Smith also enters the game averaging 10.0 RPG.

Indiana State men's basketball outscored the Huskies 50-28 in the second half to secure their seventh-straight victory this season, 90-67, to improve to 8-1. ISU remains 2-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Isaiah Swope led the Sycamores with his first D-I double-double, scoring 27 points and grabbing a career-high 10 rebounds. Swope continued his hot three-point-shooting streak, draining four-or-more triples for the fourth-straight game. He has made four-plus three-pointers in seven of ISU's nine games this season. Swope also recorded one steal and now has at least one steal in eight-of-nine games this year.
Four other Sycamores finished in double digits, a usual trend for Indiana State.Â
Ryan Conwell was the team's second leading scorer, bringing in 15 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.Â
Julian Larry racked up 13 points converting on 3-for-5 from beyond the arc. Entering the contest, Larry only attempted 12 three-pointers with a 58.3% three-point percentage.

Jayson Kent each added 12 points for ISU. Kent converted on both three-point attempts and bought in a near double-double, bringing down eight rebounds, and recorded a season-high three steals.
Last Time Out - USI
University of Southern Indiana Men's Basketball started fast, but lost momentum in falling to Purdue University Fort Wayne, 70-57, Wednesday evening at Screaming Eagles Arena. The Screaming Eagles slide to 2-8, while the Mastodons are 9-1 this season.
