Men's basketball signs Serbian native, Buffalo transfer Aleksa Vlajic

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State men's basketball head coach Matthew Graves announced the signing of Aleksa Vlajic.
 
Vlajic, a native of Belgrade, Serbia, spent his freshman season at the University of Buffalo, appearing in two games recording two points and two rebounds. Before Buffalo, he played with the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague U18 team and the U18 Serbian National team.
 
"We are very excited to add Aleksa to the Sycamore family, said head coach Matthew Graves. "He brings excellent three-point shooting with size in the front court. He also gives us versatility with his ability to defend multiple positions. We look forward to having him with us on campus this summer."
 
Combining the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons with a couple different teams and leagues, Vlajic average 13.7 points per game in 57 total games. He averaged 8.5 rebounds per game, 1.9 assists per game, a 57.8% two-point field-goal percentage, and a 72.6% free throw percentage. Vlajic in 2024-25 played for the Dubai U19 team for three games, where he averaged 19.3 points per game, 13.3 rebounds per game, and 1.7 assists per game.
 
Between playing with the two teams overseas and Buffalo, he played at Hoosac School, where he averaged 20.2 points,10.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 44% from beyond the arc.
