TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's swimming and diving is back home inside the Vigo County Aquatic Center this weekend as the Sycamores host Eastern Michigan and Lindenwood on Friday and Saturday.
The Sycamores host the Eagles on Friday afternoon with events set to start at 5 p.m. Saturday's meet against Lindenwood is set for a 2 p.m. start time.
Indiana State sits a perfect 5-0 on the season in meet competition this season with the Sycamores topping Milwaukee, Green Bay, UIC, Southern Indiana, and Evansville to date. ISU most recently topped the trio of UIC, USI, and Evansville on October 20 in the Aquatic Center and are looking to build off their strong start to the regular season.
"This weekend will provide us some great challenges and opportunities," head coach
Josh Christensen said. "Friday, we face a really tough Eastern Michigan team. That's a very talented, well-coached team and a program with a lot of history and tradition. The next day we'll have Lindenwood, who was one of the top D2 programs for a long time and has quickly moved toward the top of the Summit League since their DI transition. The team has been training really well, so I'm excited to see how we respond to all the racing and tough competition. Definitely a weekend with a lot of growth opportunities!"
