TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State swimming and diving team released their upcoming 2021-22 schedule as Head Coach
Josh Christensen and the Sycamores look to have another successful season.
The Sycamores will look to build off their success over the last three years after posting back-to-back-to-back top-three finishes at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships under Christensen's leadership.
ISU will host four meets at the Vigo County Aquatic Center in the 2021-22 season, while trips to Purdue, Kansas, IUPUI, Southern Illinois, Lewis, and Butler highlight the road portion of the schedule.
Indiana State opens up the schedule at home with the ISU Intrasquad on Friday, October 1 at the Vigo County Aquatic Center. From there, ISU travels to Bloomington, Ind. for the Indiana Tri-Meet to face off against both Indiana and Kentucky on Wednesday, October 6.
The Sycamores are back at home on Friday, October 15 against the Fighting Illini, before traveling to the Indiana Intercollegiate hosted by Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind. on October 16. The Sycamores finish up a busy opening month with a home meet against Northern Iowa on Friday, October 22.
All three November meets are on the road with Indiana State heading to the Missouri State Bears on Friday, November 5. Two weeks later, the diving team will be heading to the Purdue Invite on November 16-18, while the swimming team travels to Lawrence, Kan. for the Kansas Classic on Friday, November 19.
The final meet of the 2021 fall season comes on Saturday, December 4 where ISU hosts both Bellarmine and Eastern Illinois at the Vigo County Aquatic Center.
Following the holiday break, the Sycamores will gear up for a busy schedule in January. They open the month by heading to Romeoville, Ill. to face the Lewis Flyers on Saturday, January 8.
ISU has a busy travel weekend on January 21-22. The Sycamores head to Indianapolis, Ind. for the IUPUI Tri-Meet where they face off against both IUPUI and Butler on Friday, January 21. The next day they travel to Carbondale, Ill. to face the Southern Illinois Salukis.
Indiana State wraps up the 2022 regular season schedule with back-to-back competition dates on January 29-30. On Saturday, January 29 they face off against Illinois State at the Rose Hulman Pool. ISU ends the month of January and the regular season the next day at Fishers, Ind. with the Butler Invite.
The MVC Championship is scheduled for Saturday, February 16 in Iowa City, Iowa. The NCAA Tournament is a month later on Thursday, March 10 in Atlanta, Ga.
