ST. LOUIS – Following the conclusion of the Missouri Valley Conference Championships, a program-best 14 Sycamore student-athletes have earned MVC Scholar-Athlete Honors, the Valley announced Thursday afternoon.

In order the be eligible for the honor student-athletes must have a 3.2 cumulative GPA and be all-conference, a 3.5 cumulative GPA and earn top-sixteen finish in an individual event at the championship, or a 3.8 cumulative GPA and participate in the MVC Championship, including non-scorers.

The Missouri Valley Conference had an outstanding 63 student-athletes on the scholar-athlete team this season for swimming and diving. In the 2020-21 season, eight of these scholar-athletes had a perfect 4.00 GPA.

The Sycamores had to most honors in the conference with 14 while UNI was right behind them with 12 and Illinois State rounded out the top three with 10.
