TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The
Indiana State Swimming and Diving team defeated Xavier by a score of 166.0-48.0 and fell to Missouri State by a score of 119.5-103.5 on Friday evening at the Vigo County Aquatic Center.
Surging Sycamores
The 400-medley relay team of
Madie Rutan,
Kaimi Matsumoto,
Sarah Moreau and
Marlene Pavlu Lewin rewrote the record book clocking a time of 3:44.67 for a first-place finish.
The Sycamores clocked three season-best times in the 200 freestyle.
Emily Webb placed second with a time of 1:51.73,
Rhiannon Wozny touched the wall in third with a time of 1:52.00 and
Andrea Putrimas earned fourth with a time of 1:53.89, respectively.
Freshman
Madie Rutan posted a season-best time of 55.84 in the 100 backstroke.
