TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State Swimming and Diving earned their fourth victory of the season as they defeated Butler by a score of 195-93, winning every event on Saturday afternoon.
 
Surging Sycamores
Marni Gray was big for the Sycamores winning two events. The sophomore clocked a season-best 55.56, good for third-best in program history  (first in the conference) in the 100 butterfly and also took first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:03.78.
 
Senior Marlene Pavlu Lewin also won two events today and was on both winning relay teams. Her time of 2:00.95 in the 200 backstroke puts her first in the conference. Pavlu Lewin also took first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.89.
 
The Sycamores took top three in the 1000 freestyle with three season-best times; Molly Fogarty (10:26.14), Rhiannon Wozny (10:27.88), Andrea Putrimas (10:36.45).
 

Christensen's Corner
"Today was about honoring our seniors," said head coach Josh Christensen. "It was awesome being able to do that with family and friends in attendance. This group has invested so much into laying a foundation for this program. Their impact will be felt for years to come."

"I thought we swam well today. We're six weeks in and at the tail end of what has been our highest volume week to this point. We definitely took some positive steps forward and we look forward to building off of this as we head into the second half of the season."
