Farro represents Aruba at 2021 Junior Pan American Games

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State freshman Chloe Farro will be representing her home country of Aruba at the 2021 Junior Pan American Games on November 29-30. Farro will be competing in both the 50 and the 100 Freestyle events in Cali, Colombia.

Farro will be competing in the 100m freestyle event on Monday, while taking on the field in the 50m freestyle on Tuesday. A PPV live stream of the event can be found here: PANAM Sports Channel

"This is a great opportunity for Chloe to once again represent her country and gather more international racing experience," Josh Christensen, CSU Head Swim and Dive Coach said. "She's had an immediate impact here at ISU, not just in her performances, but in her drive to compete at this level. Her ultimate goal is the Olympics and we're excited to be part of her journey there."

A Savaneta, Aruba native, Farro has been competing on the international scene over the last few years for the Aruban Swimming Federation. She earned the two best times at the Uana Swimming Cup in February and earned bronze in the 50m free at the CCCAN Swimming Championships in 2018.

She's also represented Team Aruba at the 7th FINA World Junior Championship in Budapest, Hungary last summer. She competed in the 50m free, 100m free, 50m fly, and 50m breast, while posting her best time in the 50m free at the championships.

Most recently, Farro has hit her stride in the pool for the Sycamores as the freshman is coming off a school record-setting performance at the Kansas Classic. She shattered the school record in both the 50yd and 100yd freestyle events at the three-day meet in Topeka, Kan. Her time of 23.53 set the new ISU-record in the 50, while her 50.85 was a new record in the 100yd.

In addition to competing for Aruba at the games, Farro also served as the co-flag bearer for the delegation at the Junior Pan American Games earlier this week.
