Meals For Heroes Delivers For Healthcare Workers

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Indiana State Department of Athletics is excited to announce that in coordination with corporate sponsors 7th and Elm Bar & Grille as well as the Union Hospital Group, "Meals for Heroes" provided 253 meals to front line health care workers in the Wabash Valley during the month of April. In coordination with online ticket partner Fevo, Sycamore fans donated a meal -- and in many cases, several meals -- to local health care workers, provided by 7th & Elm for only $10.

The meals were prepared in waves each week and then delivered to Terre Haute's healthcare workers on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19.

For every meal donated, fans were entered into a drawing to win two Sycamore Football season tickets. The winner of the drawing is Greg Smith -- one of many Sycamore fans who came up big during the month of April. Thank you to each and every loyal Sycamore who donated to this cause. Thank you to WTWO, the Terre Haute Tribune Star, WTHI and Midwest Communications for publicizing this effort. We are all #InThisTogether

All Sycamore Athletics games and practices are suspended until May 31. Indiana State University remains open with student and staff conducting classes for the remainder of the spring semester remotely.
