TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State football's Rashad Rochelle was named this week's Hannig Construction Indiana State Student-Athlete of the Week, as announced by the athletic department Monday afternoon.
 
Rochelle had a career day Saturday afternoon at No. 19/20 Youngstown State, finishing with six catches for 224 yards and three touchdowns. His first three receptions all went for scores, with two being more than 70 yards.
 
Rochelle opened his account with an 11-yard touchdown in the first quarter, which came moments after drawing a pass interference penalty on Youngstown State. He then added long touchdown receptions of 78 and 74 yards in the second quarter, racking up more than 160 yards and three scores in the first half alone. Rochelle added another three receptions for 61 yards in the second half.
 
Rochelle's 224 yards were the fourth-most in program history and marked the first 200-yard game by a Sycamore since 2017, when Bob Pugh had 260 against Liberty. His three touchdowns were the most for a Sycamore since Robert Tonyan Jr. had three at Minnesota in 2016.
 
The Hannig Construction Indiana State Student-Athlete of the Week will be announced every week throughout the 2025-26 athletic season.
