SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – Following the conclusion of the Missouri Valley Conference Championships, for the second year in a row, 13 Sycamore student-athletes have earned MVC Scholar-Athlete honors, the Valley announced Thursday.
In order the be eligible for the honor student-athletes must have a 3.2 cumulative GPA and be all-conference, a 3.5 cumulative GPA and earn top-sixteen finish in an individual event at the championship, or a 3.8 cumulative GPA and participate in the MVC Championship, including non-scorers.
The Missouri Valley Conference had an outstanding 81 student-athletes on the scholar-athlete tam this season for swimming and diving. In the 2019-20 season, ten of these scholar-athletes had a perfect 4.00 GPA.
The Sycamores had the third-most honors in the conference with 13, in front of Missouri State (10), Little Rock (9), Evansville (8), Illinois State (7), and Valparaiso (2). Southern Illinois and Northern Iowa tied for the most with 15.
