COLUMBIA, Mo. – Indiana State Swimming and Diving program will head west to Missouri to compete at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship this week, hosted by Missouri State.
Missouri State will host the championship at the Mizzou Aquatic Center, with events slated to begin at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday with the 200-yard medley relay.

The Trees have competed at the Valley Championship three times since the program was created, earning a seventh place finish with 148 points in 2016-17, then a fourth place finish in 2017-18 with 477 points, and finally making their best finish in 2018-19, with a third place finish and 511.5 points.
In the MVC Pre-Championship poll, the Sycamores were picked to finish third in the conference behind Missouri State and Southern Illinois.

- Indiana State returns two First-Team All-MVC honorees in Kendall Hansen and Marlene Pavlu Lewin. Hansen took second last season in the 200 backstroke while Pavlu Lewin took third.
- ISU returns four All-MVC Honorable Mentions honorees in Cierra Campbell, Megan Schade, Alex Malmborg, and Madison Brand.
- Two Sycamores hold top two times in the conference. Alex Malmborg owns second place in the 50 free with a time of 23.54. While Marlene Pavlu Lewin holds second in the 200 back with a time of 1:58.54.
- The Sycamores were picked to finish in front of Northern Iowa, Illinois State, Little Rock, Evansville and Valparaiso.
