TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State Swimming and Diving is set to host Toledo on Friday afternoon and travel to Ball State on Saturday.
 
Series History
Friday's matchup with Toledo will be the first time in school history. However, the Sycamores have swam against Ball State three times in school history and the Cardinals hold the deficit 2-1.
 
Christensen's Corner
"We purposefully took on a tough schedule this season, with the goal of embracing challenges and using it to improve individually and as a team," head coach Josh Christensen said. "We've been putting in a lot of great training and we're looking forward to some strong competition from both Toledo and Ball State this weekend. Both these teams will challenge us to be our best and help us continue to grow as we move through the season and set up for the conference championships at the end of next month."

• The Sycamores enter the weekend with a record of 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the Valley.
• The blue and white are coming off of huge win over Eastern Illinois, and a win streak of five.
• Senior Alex Malmborg was honored with Missouri Valley Conference Swimmer of the week before winter break for her performance against the Panther of EIU.
• Malmborg claimed two victories with a time of 23.19 on the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle with a time of 53.54.
• Marni Gray also claimed two victories against EIU in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:08.66, while posting a time of 57.31 in the 100 butterfly.
• Events are slated to begin at 2 pm et at the Vigo County Aquatic Center on Jan. 17.
• Events will begin on Saturday at 3 pm et in Muncie, Indiana at Ball State.
