TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State Swimming will open the 2019-20 season in Lawrence, Kansas this weekend at the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America's Open Water Meet beginning at 11am eastern time on Saturday, September 14
th.
The Sycamores will be taking
Cierra Campbell,
Elisabeth Peskin,
Vivian Kritikou,
Molly Fogarty, and
Sarah Moreau. Kritikou, Fogarty, and Moreau are all very experienced in competing in open water meets.
They will be swimming in Lone Star Lake in Lawrence. A total of 80 female swimmers from universities across the nation will be competing in the 5,000-meter (3.1 miles) race. The first three swimmers to cross the finish line from each team receive points that correspond with their place. The team to receive the lowest amount of points will win.
Admission will be free to this event and it is encouraged that spectators park in the lot above the beach, and use the staircase to access the road and shoreline.
