TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Indiana State Athletics Associate Athletic Director for Communications & Digital Content Ace Hunt has announced the hiring of Carlee McFarland as the Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant. McFarland will be the contact for Women's Swimming and Diving and Softball.

"Carlee is a former local student-athlete who has transitioned into athletics administration following her playing days," Hunt said. "We are looking forward to using her years of expertise to cover our softball program and her social media savy to promote our swimming and diving program as well as engage the ISU student body through advanced marketing efforts."

She graduated from Indiana State University in May of 2019 with a Bachelors Degree in Recreation and Sport Management. McFarland also worked in the Communications office as an intern before graduating. She will be pursuing her Masters Degree in Sport Management while working in our office.

McFarland is a hard worker with a passion for sports and is very excited about this opportunity. She will also be spending time working in the marketing department, in particular with game day giveaways as well as promotion with The Forest.

She played softball at Terre Haute South Vigo High School as well as two years at Lincoln Trail.
