MBK Handlova (SBL) has signed 26-year old American center Josh Crawford, who played for the Sycamore basketball program from 2008-10. Part of last season Crawford spent at Beroe (NBL) in Bulgarian league. In four games he had 14.8 ppg, 7.8 rpg and 1.3 apg.
He also spent pre-season at Ironi Ramat Gan (National League) in Israel earlier that year. In two games he recorded 3.0 ppg and 4.5 rpg. Part of the previous (2013) summer Crawford played at Reales (LNB) in Dominican Republic League. as well as Los Minas (District National).
Crawford has played also professionally in Spain (Carballo), Bulgaria (Balkan) and Dominican Republic (Reales de La Vega).
As a senior, Crawford recorded 35 blocked shots rank to tie for seventh place all-time for a single-season. His 1.1 blocks per game average finished the season ranked fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference. He scored a career-high 18 points by hitting 8-of-9 shots from the field, including his first 3-pointer of the season against Wichita State.
Crawford is in his fifth season as a professional player.
