ST. LOUIS – Indiana State men's basketball senior
Xavier Hall was named to the 2026 Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete First Team, announced on Wednesday morning.
Hall earned a 3.65 GPA over his academic collegiate career and will earn his degree in Computer Science upon graduation. This is his first league academic award in his career.

Hall and the Sycamores take on Valparaiso later today at 7 p.m. ET in St. Louis for the opening round of the 2026 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. The game can be streamed on ESPN+. Indiana State will play as the No. 10 seed in the tournament, facing the No. 7 seed in the Beacons.
Criteria
The criteria for the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team voting parallels the CSC (College Sports Communicators) standards for Academic All-America nominations. To be nominated, a student-athlete must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA, both as an under-graduate and graduate student, where applicable. If a GPA has not been established as a transfer student, the cumulative GPA from the nominees' previous institution must be used. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing. Redshirt freshmen are not eligible. Eligible nominees must compete in at least 75 percent of the regular season OR must start in at least 50 percent of the institution's games.
