INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Two Sycamores are in the top 10 and Indiana State is currently third after the first round of the Butler Fall Invitational Monday. The tournament is being played at the Highlands Golf and Country Club.
“The freshmen struggled without a practice round because of the weather,” Greg Towne, Indiana State golf coach, said. “I really didn't see a lot of good shots but Amanda (Smith) played steady and McCall (Christopher) recovered from some mid round problems to keep us in the hunt.”
Purdue holds a commanding lead in the team race with a 292 total after the first 18 holes with host Butler second at 312 and Indiana State third with a 314 total. Loyola is fourth in the 10 team field at 320.
