TERRE
HAUTE, Ind. ? Indiana State's Harry Marshall had one of the best games of his
career on Feb. 8 at Illinois State. His jumper
as time expired in overtime gave the Sycamores a thrilling 75-73 win over the
Redbirds and has been selected the No. 5 shot on ESPNU's Top 10 Buzzer
Beaters.
In celebration of ESPNU's
fourth birthday on March
4, 2009, the 24-hour college sports network will highlight
the all-time Top 10 men's college basketball buzzer beaters that were originally
televised on its air. Those 10 moments will be featured at halftime
during all men's basketball telecasts March 2-4 during the 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. windows. In
addition, fans can view the buzzer beaters on ESPNU.com.
With the game tied at 73-73 in
overtime, the
Sycamores went to their leading scorer and he produced as ISU cleared the floor
and let Marshall work his magic. Marshall worked himself free at the top
of the key, took a shot from just inside the 3-point line and hit nothing but
net to give the Sycamores a 75-73 road victory and a regular-season sweep over
the Redbirds. Marshall finished the game with a
career-high 24 points and also dished out a career-high nine assists in the
victory.
