TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Indiana State softball continued its strong academic tradition as seniors Morgan Goodrich and Megan Asher, along with sophomore Madison Poulson, were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-Region Team. The trio earned the honor by meeting the organization's academic and athletic performance standards.
CSC Academic All-Region recognition is awarded to student-athletes who excel both in the classroom and in competition. Nominees must hold a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, meet strict participation requirements, and be among a limited number of athletes each institution is permitted to submit.
Indiana State's honorees include:

Morgan Goodrich — Senior outfielder with a 3.959 GPA in Interior Architecture Design, recognized for her academic excellence and consistent production in the Sycamore lineup.

Megan Asher — Senior pitcher with a 3.7667 GPA in Biology, honored after meeting CSC's pitching eligibility standards and maintaining one of the program's strongest academic records.

Madison Poulson — Sophomore Insurance & Risk Management major with a 3.915 GPA, earning her first CSC academic honor after a breakout season on the field.
CSC guidelines allow institutions to nominate only a select number of student-athletes, making selection to the Academic All-Region team a significant achievement. Eligible nominees must compete in 90% of games or start 66%, while pitchers must record 17 appearances or 35 innings pitched.
