TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State softball alum Lauren Sackett has continued her playing career overseas with the former Sycamore playing professionally with the Bollate Softball 1969 program heading into the championship rounds this week.
 
The former Sycamore joined Bollate Softball 1969 following graduation from Indiana State this season. She has lined up in four games in the circle posting a 2.33 ERA over four complete game efforts, pitching 27.0 innings. She picked up her first win in her inaugural debut on July 5, going 7.0 innings allowing six hits and one run while striking out seven.
 
She followed up her first outing with a season-long 8.0-inning effort in the circle allowing just five hits and three runs (two earned), while striking out two.
 
The Bollate Softball 1969 program has a storied history winning 15 Italian Championships, most recently in the 2025 season. The team has also won multiple European Championships, including claiming the European Champions Cup in both 2019 and 2025.
 
The Terre Haute, Ind. native wrapped up her collegiate playing career at Indiana State in 2026, finishing with an 11-14 record and a 3.73 ERA over 30 appearances inside the circle. She posted 11 complete games and two shutouts, including the season-opening 3-0 win over UT Martin, while adding a complete-game, 7.0-inning, four-hit, eight-strikeout contest against Morehead State.
 
She finished her Indiana State playing career pitching over 350.0 total innings over 87 appearances, adding 22 complete games and four shutouts.
 
Sackett earned her bachelor's degree and master's degree in Sport Management at Indiana State. She will continue her education this upcoming year at Indiana University where she will be starting in the Sport Administration doctorate program, while also working with the softball staff.
