TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State will dedicate the new Blackwell Bullpen at Bob Warn Field on Friday, April 3rd, as the Sycamores welcome the Blackwell Family back to Terre Haute for the weekend series against UIC.
The dedication ceremony will take place during pregame festivities as the Sycamores honor the legacy of Mike and Mary Blackwell and their family as they continue their desires to better all Indiana State athletic facilities.
"The addition of the Blackwell Bullpen is a game-changer for our program and our fan experience," Indiana State Director of Athletics
Nathan Christensen said. "It represents the momentum we are building at Indiana State University and the type of investment that continues to push us forward. We are thankful to the Blackwell family for helping us create an environment that matches the passion and pride of Sycamore Baseball."
The Blackwell Bullpen is located beyond the right field wall and was made possible entirely through private funding thanks in part to a gift from the Blackwell family. The 24 feet by 64 feet deck runs from the right field foul pole toward the existing video board in right center and features two tiers of countertops allowing fans offering additional opportunities to enjoy the game. Standing nine feet tall at its lowest point, the deck offers fans a clear view of the action above the right field wall.
Stairs and an ADA ramp are available for fans to access the Blackwell Bullpen with entrance located down the foul line next to the Indiana State baseball clubhouse.
The Blackwell Bullpen has a capacity of 125. Corporation and group rates are available for the 2026 season by contacting
Mason LaGrange, Assistant Manager for Athletic Ticketing, at 812-237-8972 or by emailing

The base for one of the Midwest's finest Division I collegiate baseball programs, Bob Warn Field has undergone multiple enhancements over the past decade. The installation of a FieldTurf infield, a new locker room and coaches' offices, the construction of a new seating area with both chairback and bleacher seats and a larger press box and parking lot highlight the renovation of the entire facility.
