D1Baseball.com – Indiana State baseball continues to sit in the national spotlight as the Sycamores were recognized among the D1Baseball's Top 100 program list as announced by the organization.
The Sycamores moved to No. 69 overall in the rankings released every two years, continuing a four year trend of being recognized by D1Baseball on the program list.
Indiana State made its initial debut in the D1Baseball rankings back in 2015 sitting ranked at No. 94 overall. Since then, the Sycamores have climbed as high as No. 47 in 2024, while adding No. 60 recognition in 2022.
The Sycamores are coming off a 30-27 season that included a 15-9 mark in Missouri Valley Conference play. Indiana State won seven of the eight MVC series, including taking two of the three from Murray State and UIC, while adding nonconference wins over Miami (Ohio), Florida Gulf Coast, Penn State (twice), Western Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, and sweeping the season series over Purdue and Wright State.
Indiana State continues its fall baseball slate at home this upcoming week with their annual Fall College World Series at Bob Warn Field on Thursday, October 8, with first pitch set for 6 p.m.
The Sycamores will also continue fall baseball with the seventh annual CUREFA game held on Sunday, October 18, against Rose-Hulman. Proceeds from the game go toward the Friedrich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA). For more information,

About the D1Baseball Top 100 Rankings
The organization is unveiling its Top 100 list as it continues an exercise started back in the fall of 2015. The rankings reflect an attempt to assess the overall health of each program in the current era and is updated every two years with the latest coming back in 2024.
Programs earn points for making regionals, winning regionals, reaching the College World Series, and winning the national championship in the last five (completed) seasons, and a fewer amount of points for success between six and 10 years ago.
