ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Indiana State's
Jecza Lopez completed the season sweep on Tuesday afternoon as the Sycamore diver received her ninth Missouri Valley Conference Diver of the Week recognition.
Lopez claimed the honors every time she competed over the 2025-26 regular season and wrapped up her final tune-up on the boards prior to the MVC Championships with a pair of wins at the UIC Diving Invite.
The Guadalajara, Mexico native scored 285.05 in the 1M Springboard to win the event by nearly 27 points over UIC's Morgan McCloskey. Lopez followed up with the 3M Springboard win with her score of 287.20 topping UIC runner-up Kerry-Leigh Morrison (UIC) by 19 points in her final tune-up prior to the MVC Swimming and Diving Championships.
She becomes the first Indiana State member of the swimming and diving team to earn MVC honors at least nine times over the course of the regular season.
